The crew of the Deep Star Six underwater laboratory has been diving for six months. Their mission: to build a missile launch base. But the final blasting of a cave required for this not only destroys parts of the underwater base, it also unearths a gigantic prehistoric creature. Confronted with a creature the likes of which the world has never seen before, the crew begins a brutal fight for survival.
Director Sean S. Cunningham made horror history with FRIDAY THE 13TH and confronts us with the "horror from the deep" in the oppressively futuristic underwater adventure DEEP STAR SIX, in which Miguel Ferrer and pop starlet Nia Peeples, among others, fight a primeval monster, following in the footsteps of classics such as THE ABYSS and LEVIATHAN.
