Countless years in A&E, watching people die day after day from drugs and drug-related crime, have left emergency doctor Dr. Jack Davies angry and desperate. One day he stumbles drunk through the back streets of the city and gets into a fight between the drug lord Turner's girl and some of his thugs, who naturally don't take kindly to such interference.
