South America, the 1970s. A plane carrying a Uruguayan rugby team experiences a failure mid-flight over the snowy Andes mountains and is forced to make a violent emergency landing. After most of the passengers die, stranded in the middle of nowhere, the survivors face the terror of loneliness and the cold. Due to the low temperatures, the bodies are well preserved, and after a few days, as hunger grows unbearable, they decide to do something that will change their lives forever: eat their deceased companions. Praying that a rescue expedition will find them, the horror increasingly takes hold of them as the practice of cannibalism becomes a daily reality.
