Adapted from the novel by famed author Jean Rhys, Quartet celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Merchant-Ivory partnership win a lush depiction of tortured love in the Golden Age of 1920's Paris. Isabelle Adjani stars as the young West Indian woman who becomes enveloped in a love quadrangle with her husband (Anthony Higgins), an art patron (Alan Bates) and his wife (Maggie Smith).
