Tre år att ha mördat sin mor och hennes älskare, ligger Patrick sängbunden på ett sjukhus. Nyanställda sjuksköterskan Kathy Jacquard får ansvaret att sköta om honom. Vad som till en början ter sig som en lugn sysselsättning får en helt annan innebörd när mystiska saker börjar ske runtomkring henne.
