Lorri lives out in the woods, far from civilization, in a filthy shack adjacent to the Mountaintop Motel. Surrounded by broken toy dolls and all manner of vermin, the young thing seems spiritually inclined. When her mentally deranged mother catches her trying to contact the spirits of the afterlife, she accidentally kills her child with a sickle during a fit of rage. The traumatic experience is not without consequences - especially for the guests of the motel, on which the crazy woman is now hunting. No one is safe in the Mountaintop Motel anymore. MOTEL-MASSAKER aka MOUNTAINTOP MOTEL MASSACRE, distributed at the time by ROGER CORMAN, is a cheaply staged but very atmospheric backwoods slasher that is in many ways different from the conventional entries of the popular subgenre.
