101 Films presents Class of 1984 (1982), a violent and dystopian vision of the future and one of the seminal cult movies of the early 1980s.
Directed and co-written by Mark L. Lester (Commando) and based on a story by Tom Holland (Fright Night), who also co-wrote the screenplay, Class of 1984 features a strong cast, including Perry King (Slaughterhouse-Five), mothy Van Patten (The White Shadow), Lisa Langlois (Deadly Eyes), Roddy McDowall (Battle for the Planet of the Apes), Stefan Arngrim (Fear No Evil) and an early appearance from Michael J. Fox.
An idealistic and naïve music teacher (Perry King) moves to the inner city with his pregnant wife to find that his new school is plagued by drugs and violence. Determined to bring a semblance of order to his classroom, he soon clashes with the school's dominant gang, setting off a chain of escalating events, with potentially fatal consequences.
