He had been warned. Nevertheless, Mike ventures onto the deserted island, which he may not leave alive. On a secret mission from a millionaire, he is to steal the island's most precious possession from the top of a bare rock: the brood of a pair of sea eagles, the last specimens of an otherwise extinct species. Islander Malden, a lone fighter with a dark past, senses the impending danger. He suspiciously watches every step of the intruder, who is disguised as a photographer, and warns him to stay away from the rock. The thief Mike has bought systematically works out a plan until he succeeds in luring Malden to the mainland. But Mike has gambled too high. When he abseils down from the eagles' perch, a silent, deadly weapon is pointed at him.
