Based on Maher’s autobiography, The Long Gray Line is a heart-warming and nostalgic tale of triumph over adversity, with supporting turns from many members of Ford’s ‘stock company’, including Ward Bond (The Shepherd of the Hills), Donald Crisp (The Last Hurrah), Harry Carey Jr (Death of a Gunfighter), and Patrick Wayne (Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger).
