Two crew members are found dead on the secret government base Erebus in Antarctica. Captain Sam Cage, together with Major Callie Wilson, is asked to investigate the mysterious traces of the case. Arriving at the mining base, they make another gruesome discovery. The chief of operations is lying frozen to death in deep snow. Sam refuses to radio for help until the investigation is complete. The next morning, Callie prepares to descend into the mine. On a monitor, Sam can watch as Callie is suddenly yanked into the mine. Apparently, she is killed instantly. Suddenly, Sam is faced with his end: Those believed dead return from their graves and open the hunt for him. In order to save his own skin, he must stand eye to eye against Satan's emissaries....
