AD 2080. The world is ravaged by war. National boundaries have disintegrated. From the devastation, a new metropolis has risen, built on the ocean and populated not only by humans but also the cyborgs who have been created to serve them. Imbued with Artificial Intelligence and rebelling against their shortened life spans, a renegade group of cyborgs wage war on their human masters. Amidst the chaos, Agent R (Yoo Ji-tae) - a member of the team charged with suppressing the cyborg rebellion - falls for Ria (Seo Rin), a cyborg nightclub dancer who has only a few days left to live.
