Glen Campbell’s place of birth proved something of an omen for the pleasure he would bring to the lives of many. Born in Delight (Arkansas), Campbell was one of twelve children; from an early age he displayed a huge musical talent and went on to make his mark in music, films and television.
Before his success as a solo artist Campbell was one of the top session guitarists providing back up for the best in the States, including Nat King Cole, Ricky Nelson, Dean Martin, Judy Garland and many more. His big break came in ’67 with the release of his single “Gentle On My Mind” and hit after hit soon followed. So far he’s sold 45 million albums (12 Gold, 4 Platinum) and 1 double Platinum award. No mean feat for a country boy!
In “Legends” we present 16 of the tracks that won him adulation around the world. Relax and enjoy the opening tracks “Rhinestone Cowboy” and “Gentle On My Mind”, and over 59 minutes of pure listening magic, conjured up by an artist who quite simple takes “delight” in giving pleasure.
