FRIDAY is a hilarious look at a day in the life of two friends growing up in the "hood" in urban Los Angeles. Featuring an all-star cast, Friday stars rapper/actor Ice Cube in the outrageous story of the pitfulls of growing up in South Central Los Angeles.
22 year old Craig Jones has just been fired from his job at the shoe store and, on top of that, his parents are threatening to kick him out of the house. Meanwhile, Craig has his eye on Debbie, a beautiful fitness instructor, but his insanely jealous girlfriend, Joi, is standing in the way. To make matters worse, Craig's best friend, Smokey, is in the midst of a shady drug deal gone sour. Before the sun sets in South Central, Craig has to get Smokey out of trouble, find a new job, avoid Joi and win Debbie's heart, and survive a climactic confrontation with Deebo, the neighbourhood menace.

To escape revenge from his evil enemy, Debo retreats from South Central to his cousin Day-Day's place in the leafy Los Angeles Suburbs. Craig soon discovers he is safer back in South Central! A local Mexican gang led by Koker and his men pit bull are plenty to contend with. And when Craig finally meets a beautiful girl she turns out to be Joker's little sister....Then Craig learns that Uncle Elroy's house is about to be repossessed and unless they come up with the cash, Day-Day's home will be auctioned off. With only hours to go the guys break into Joker's place in the middle of a wild party. they uncover a stash of money but get caught in the process. An hilarious shoot-out ensues where the "good-guys" make one last attempt to grab the cash and save the day...

Craig and Day-Day have finally gotten jobs as mall security guards and moved into their own crib. When a fake Santa robs their rundown apartment on Christmas Eve, they embark on a comical adventure in an effort to track down the bandit and retrieve their stolen loot. Meanwhile, Day-Day's rent-a-cop tactics cause them to continually miss their chance to catch the Santa and instead has them squaring off against innocent carolling ladies, shady neighbourhood kids and the police!
