Bitter Moon explores the uttermost depths of sexual perversion and experimentation in this explosive drama from Roman Polanski.
Nige (Hugh Grant – ”Love Actually”) and Fiona (Kristin Scott Thomas – ”The English Patient”), a repressed English couple, eager to rekindle their fading marriage by taking a luxury cruise to Istanbul, get more than they bargained for. Enroute they meet Oscar (Peter Coyote – ”ET”, ”Jagged Edge”), a crippled American writer, and his beautiful French wife, Mimi (Emmanuelle Seigner), who both enthral and appal Nigel with riveting accounts of their wildly sensuous exploits.
Before they reach their journey’s end Nigel and Fiona have become the unwitting observers and participants in a tragedy with the most extraordinary outcome.
